Chalet Caramelli (12 beds), Montchavin Les Coches, La Plagne

Our luxurious loft-style chalet has four ensuite bedrooms (and two mezzanines), an open plan living area, vaulted ceilings and stunning mountain views. It’s just a short drive to the ski slopes of either Montchavin Les Coches (La Plagne) or Les Arcs and Peisey Vallandry.

The chalet is on the top floor of Maison Caramel, and has its own entrance on the hillside at the back of the farmhouse, accessed via log steps at the side. Situated on the edge of the old alpine village of Landry, with its apple orchards, wild flower meadows and woodland, Chalet Caramelli is the perfect spot for a relaxing winter retreat.

Bedrooms

Stairs lead down from the living area to the ensuite bedrooms looking out over the village, river and mountains beyond. Sink into the comfortable beds with feather duvets or take a long soak in one of the deep double-ended baths.

• Bedroom 1: family room with double bed, sitting area with two large balconies free-standing double-ended bath, adjoining shower stall and separate toilet, mezzanine level above with twin beds accessed by staircase (low ceiling at one end)
• Bedroom 2: twin room with an en suite bathroom in the mezzanine level above (accessed by a staircase, low ceiling and beam at one end)
• Bedroom 3: pretty double room with vaulted beamed ceiling, large balcony with village views and ensuite shower room
• Bedroom 4: family room with sitting area, large windows opening onto a balcony overlooking the garden below, ensuite bathroom with double-ended bath and shower over, large bunk beds and mezzanine level with built in double or Austrian twin (low ceiling)

Village

Landry is an old alpine farming village surrounded by ancient apple orchards and beautiful wild flower meadows. The village has two bars, a restaurant, post office and village store. Its tranquil, old-fashioned atmosphere offers a welcome contrast to the purpose-built resorts with their package tour operators and ugly buildings.

Skiing

The chalet is just a short drive from the lifts in Montchavin Les Coches, La Plagne. It’s also very close to the lifts in Peisey Vallandry, Les Arcs. We provide a free chauffeur service to the lifts and back in Montchavin Les Coches for catered and half board guests.
